How the checker works
Unclaimed dividend amounts are private to each registrar and the SEC — no tool can show your exact balance. What this checker does is get you to the right place fast:
- Step 1 — the SEC portal searches your name across every registrar at once and tells you which companies you hold and who manages them.
- Step 2 — the company lookup takes any of the 149 NGX-listed companies and gives you its registrar, phone number, and a direct link to that registrar's claim/e-dividend page. Three registrars (Coronation, Veritas, Africa Prudential) even let you search by name.
What you'll need to claim
- Your CSCS account number (from your stockbroker, or the CSCS portal at cscs.ng)
- Your BVN and bank account details
- A valid ID and your signature on the registrar's e-dividend mandate form
Unclaimed dividends don't earn interest and can be swept into the SEC's Investor Protection Fund after six years of inactivity — so the earlier you act, the better.
